Deep Dream State is built on voice acting. Every scene and every character exists because a performer made a choice. Your intention shapes the show. We take that seriously, and we want collaborators who do too.

We work with a well-established cast, and we’re selective. If you’ve listened to the show, you know the standard: confident, character-forward, stylized performances. This isn’t the project for novices. But if you’re ready, we genuinely want to hear you.

What We Offer

Every voice actor receives an IMDb credit and a bio on the Deep Dream State cast page. That’s a permanent, publicly verifiable professional record. That should prove useful for your portfolio, your reel, and your career in audio drama and voice acting.

We cast for three commitment levels:

1. Season Regular

Season regulars are core cast members who appear across a full arc of Deep Dream State. These are recurring, developed roles with narrative weight. Season regulars work closely with the director across multiple recording sessions and are credited prominently in all associated materials. This is the deepest level of collaboration we offer, and the most demanding. If you’ve listened to the show and heard yourself in it, this is what you’re auditioning for.

2. Guest Star

Guest stars appear in one or more episodes within a single arc. These are significant roles that shape the narrative without the ongoing commitment of a season regular. Guest star voice acting on Deep Dream State is a chance to make a mark on an established, critically engaged audio drama. Guest roles are fully credited on IMDb and in show materials, and many of our current season regulars joined the cast this way.

3. Neuroplex Ad Interludes

Neuroplex ads are short diegetic commercials – in-universe advertising that runs inside the narrative of Deep Dream State itself. Think of them as found-object transmissions from inside the Neuralverse: deadpan, strange, and completely their own thing. They require minimal time commitment and are a genuine creative cameo – a strong entry point if you want to work with us before committing to a full arc. All Neuroplex voice actors receive full IMDb credit.

What We Need From You

You’ll need a voice acting reel – a short audio demo that shows your range and delivery. If you don’t have one yet, reels are commonly hosted on Casting Call Club, Voice123, Soundcloud, or your own website. We need to hear what you actually sound like before we can consider you.

You’ll also need a public web presence: a social media profile, a casting page, or equivalent. This is how we verify that you’re an adult. We don’t check IDs, but we do check that you exist publicly and verifiably online.

Your comfort with the show’s content range. Voice actors can work at a suggestive level or full range, according to their own comfort. Both are valid and we cast accordingly.
