The Deep Drop Party is a weekly internet radio show on Discord featuring experimental electronic music, audio art, and hypnotic soundscapes. Running continuously since February 23, 2018, the show celebrates the work of Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns through curated DJ sets, immersive audio experiences, and community listening sessions. Each three-hour episode is co-hosted by Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns, showrunner Bliss Blank, and a rotating cast of guest star co-hostesses. The show is grounded in ethical kink practice, creating a consensual space for exploration. Group listening adds a dimension of community and shared experience that’s distinct from isolated content consumption: we listen together, react together, and create something larger than any individual experience.

When Is the Deep Drop Party?

The Deep Drop Party happens every Saturday at 9 PM Eastern Time (6 PM Pacific). Each episode runs for three hours. We’ve been running continuously since February 23, 2018 (that’s over seven years of weekly Saturday nights together). Mark your calendars: we’re here every single Saturday without fail.

Where Is the Deep Drop Party?

The Deep Drop Party takes place on Discord in a server called “The Pink Room.” Join us at discord.gg/thepinkroom and head to the audio channel labeled “Deep Drop Party.” It’s a dedicated listening space where the community gathers every Saturday night.

If you’re new to Discord, it’s free and works on browser, desktop, or mobile. You can lurk quietly or join the conversation, whatever feels right.

What Sort of Content?

The Deep Drop Party features experimental audio art and music by Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns, all grounded in ethical kink practice. Expect hypnotic soundscapes, immersive audio experiences, and running narratives that unfold across episodes (some of which have evolved into full podcast audio dramas). All hypnotic content comes with clear content warnings and consent-based frameworks. The show blends music, storytelling, and community interaction into something between a listening session, an audio drama, and a shared trance experience. The sonic landscape varies: electronic beats, ambient soundscapes, narrative audio, whatever serves the story and the vibe.

Is It Free?

Yes, the Deep Drop Party is completely free to attend. No paywall, no entry fee, no prerequisites. Just show up on Discord every Saturday at 9 PM EST. This is a deliberate choice: we believe money should never fully gate community, and the free nature of the show reflects our commitment to democratizing access to audio art and creative spaces.

That said, the show is supported by Patreon, and that support is necessary for the show’s existence. If you value what we do and have the means, consider becoming a patron. But whether you support financially or just show up to listen, you’re part of the community. Everyone is welcome.

Do I Have to Talk?

The Deep Drop Party is interactive and community-driven. The hostesses will talk to you, engage with the chat, and create a personal, connected atmosphere. We love conversation and building relationships with our listeners.

That said, some people are shy, and that’s absolutely okay. Part of ethical kink practice is letting people find their own path and respecting different modes of socialization. Some folks are busy, some prefer to observe, some just want to vibe. You can lurk quietly like traditional radio, jump into the chat when you feel like it, or anything in between. There’s no pressure, no obligation. Show up however feels right for you.

Will I Be Hypnotized?

That’s up to you. The show is inherently entertaining and enjoyable without any altered state. Many people simply listen for the music, the storytelling, and the community vibe. That’s completely valid and welcomed.

The content does include hypnotic elements, but there’s no requirement and no pressure. The showrunners and Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns are committed to ethical kink practice, which means your agency and consent are paramount. You choose your own experience. Whether you engage with the hypnotic aspects or just enjoy the show as audio entertainment, both paths are equally respected. Subject agency isn’t just something we talk about, it’s a core principle we emphasize in everything we do.

What Is A Haptic? How Do I Haptic?

File Haptics is an applied system developed by Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns in conjunction with QDot and later XToys, which continues to support this technology. It’s a way of programming sensation directly into the files. Listeners connect a personal massager, and the audio experience becomes physical.

The Deep Drop Party develops and showcases these experiments. During the final tracks of the evening, the hostesses’ personal massagers are connected via an XToys bot. When they speak certain trigger phrases from the tracks, it activates the massagers in short bursts. Although it changes weekly, you can find a sample here.

Here’s where it gets interactive: audience members can also trigger the massagers by typing selected text phrases in chat. Each phrase sets off a burst lasting a second or so, creating an incentive to keep repeating. It looks chaotic and spammy in the Discord sidebar, but that’s part of the fun. It’s structured participation through playful repetition.

To participate, go to the tease link, push the buttons until you connect your device, then copypaste the generated link into the party Discord sidebar. It’s easy and intuitive, we promise. Please DO work out any technical issues before the show. The hostesses will be in no position to provide live tech support.

Note: you’ll need a computer or Android device. This won’t work on iPhones.

This is completely voluntary and consent-based. Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns does not connect personally. It’s one dimension of the experience, and your participation (or non-participation) is entirely your choice. Haptics add a layer of embodied connection to the show, but only if you want that.

Who Are the Cohostesses?

The co-hostesses are voice acting stars who volunteer their time to support the Neuralverse. These are talented performers who’ve brought Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns’ work to life, and they donate their energy to create the weekly magic of the Deep Drop Party.

We believe deeply in community participation, but co-hosting is a rare spotlight. We want to make sure it shines on the most devoted voice actors. To be considered for one of the limited co-hosting slots, you must have starred as the primary voice on a Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns track. If you meet that requirement, submit your application via server modmail or direct email to production@deepdreamstate.org. You can also ask the showrunners directly.

This isn’t gatekeeping, it’s about honoring the people who’ve already invested themselves in the work and giving them a platform to shine. If you’re passionate about voice acting and want to be part of future projects, get involved with the Neuralverse community. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be a co-hostess someday.
