This is the Halloween episode. It’s the premiere of Season Five : Lilies.

It’s succubus monster romance with a monster FMC, human MMC.

Succubus Tessa’s a suspected “black widow.” She’s got three dead husbands, piles of money, and a growling demon overlord.

A human investigating her is falling for her. In a succubus happily ever after, is he gonna be partner or prey?

The Series

What is this?

After After is monster romance + weird sci fi. Romance has a happily ever after. After After has a happily ever after every season, on the species level.

How do these stories work?

In the frame story, Naia, from a dryad group mind, won. She decides humanity’s fate, but she’s on team monster. She wants humanity replaced.

So the question is: which monster?

Each season, a being tells a story about how they love. (It’s a vision of posthuman monster romance.) At the end, Naia decides which story she likes best. There’s a voting site up, and it’ll determine the story direction.

What’s the format?

Each season’s six episodes. Each episode’s six scenes. Release is weekly, starting now. Scene one is always the frame story. After the frame, it shifts to the romance.

What monsters?

These are the planned monster romance seasons: Lilies (succubi), The Pack (shifters), Orphics (classical gods), The Pando (dryads), Triplings (witches and demons), Liminites (cryptids), Synthservs (cyborgs)

Is this a reboot?

It’s an evolution. The first four seasons of Deep Dream State were desire horror. We want monstrous things and that’s the horror. After After takes that idea further.

We want the monstrous. What if that’s good?

Are there ads?

At the present time, no. Deep Dream State is fairly unique in steering away from ad based funding models. We’re open to feed swaps and cross promotion that doesn’t compromise the show.

Is it NSFW?

Yes. It is absolutely R rated. It is thinkykinky. We’re pot committed to the idea that intimate voice acting is a valid form of storytelling. As governments descend into queer panics and puritanical madness over… (checks notes) facesitting? we think it’s extra important that we hold the line.

Why is the cast so big?

Big stories need big casts. Hit or miss, we want to do it big. We’ve cast over 50 people; we expect that number to grow. We also think R Rated audio spaces create enormous reservoirs of talent. We’re eager to recognize and demonstrate that.
