Episode
“It IS impossible. But it’s happening.”
FMC succubus Tessa tells her romance story to an assembled court of posthumans. The Court frame is surreal fantasy; the Story is magical realist romance.
In her story, she’s under investigation for her rich husbands’ cardiac misfortune. The undercover investigator is rapidly developing feelings for her. She’s developing feelings of her own – but no one’s sure what those feelings are. Maybe she’s tender for Cassady Reeve. Or maybe she’s just tenderizing her next meal.
Series
What is this?
After After is monster romance + weird sci fi. Romance has a happily ever after. After After has a happily ever after every season – on the species level.
Each season of the big monster romance continuity is another monster type: Succubi, Orphics, The Pack, The Pando, Liminites, Synthservs, Triplings.
After the seasons are finished, we’ll see who’s winning the poll, which is here.
Are there ads?
No. Deep Dream State is fairly unique in steering away from ad based funding models. We’re open to feed swaps and cross promotion that doesn’t compromise the show.
Is it NSFW?
Yes. It is R rated. That’s a feature. We’re devoted to the idea that intimate storytelling is really storytelling, not just lemons and laundry machines.
Is that art AI?
Absolutely not. We layer and remix public domain images. The Sundew image is from The Flowering Plants, Grasses, Sedges and Ferns of Great Britain – Anne Pratt, 1855.
Who makes it?
The showrunner is Neural Nets And Pretty Patterns. That’s me. I write, direct, sound edit, publicize, and voice act. Bliss Blank is the assistant director and a voice actor.
